Bansuri player in london looking to find other instrument to join

Postby massimo » Mon Jul 04, 2011 8:59 pm

Im surprised of the difficulty I'm having in finding people that play indian instruments in london.
Im a bansuri flute player E and D scales, studying indian classic willing to share some of this experience with some local player in England.
If someone with Sitar or other indian instrument want to share nice musical moment I would be able to travel around england.
;)

Hi Platopatrose,
I hope in to meet some one to experience some practice and share music here in london.
My thing with bansuri is at practice level, hard practice level indian style since i have spent 5 month in varanasi to practice at least 6 hours a day, and classes for three months every day.
So what i have been learning is little in musical way but i have a good foundation strong and long tuned swaras.
Soon the 5th of january i will be in varanasi again for 4 months continuing to study bansuri and indian classic music, this is on of the reason why im actually practicing less, because i know that soon i will do it intense.
Let me know how has gone with your moving to surrey and if i could come to see you for some practice on few notes.
Bay the way the only one rag Im studying is jog
Greetings Massimo
