The Beethoven Symphonies are great instrumental pieces, same with Brahms and Mahler, big and dramatic sounding.

I'm not sure if it would be completely wise of me to recommend my favourite soundtracks on this section since it is labelled exclusively as a "Classical" section; nevertheless, personally I don't mind doing that on here. I will however have to recommend some Classical Music because I love that too.

Soundtracks:

Hmm, well these are some of my favourites!

"The Birth Of The Twins and Padme's Destiny"
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=_fPXChiKoU8 (1:35 onwards is my favourite)

"The Hot Gates"
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=bI9riLfi6wk (Percussion is awesome)

"Chateau"
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=iYv4FR1M-wU

I'm really sorry in advance for any regulars on this forum; "Chateau" isn't anywhere near Classical but it is classed as a soundtrack and a soundtrack it is. Obviously electronically altered but it's one of my favourites.

Now onto beloved Classical Music:

Ravel - String Quartet in F Major: Mvt. 1:
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=iKyMkjF51qw (Beautiful)

Debussy - Prelude to the afternoon of a Faun:
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=9_7loz-HWUM

Rachmaninov - Symphony No. 2: Mvt. 3:
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=kbZYzoidkYU

Scriabin - Etude Op. 2 No. 1:
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=NSsKJIzwapA
(Strictly speaking this is written for Piano, but it's brilliant)

Beethoven - Piano Sonata No. 31 in A flat major Op. 110: Mvt. 1:
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=adZulfbQyyo

There are many, many more great instrumental pieces of Classical Music; it's there waiting for you to explore it! Good luck to you.

And thank you.

"Siegfried's Funeral Music" from Richard Wagner's "Die Gotterdammerung" has been used in countless move soundtracks; ex: finale scene, the film "Excalibur"(adaptation):
hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=EeOsaoY2bsc (need to turn up the volume)

The original: hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=DrZXEky58Js (also need to turn up the volume)

More Wagner used in numerous films; one you're probably familiar with: hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=Q1Gc0StkBBk

And one more, used in movies, TV commercials, etc. "ad nauseum": hxxp: www. youtube. com / watch?v=SNq4n6wC5ms

Believe it or not, I do enjoy music of other composers,
